Privacy Policy
Coffee Snap is a personal coffee journal for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: everything you record stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account if you turn on sync. Coffee Snap does not collect, upload, sell or share your data.
What Coffee Snap stores
When you log a coffee, the app saves what you enter: date and time, coffee type, an optional label, size, rating, price and currency, shop name, caffeine, sugar, notes, and a favorite mark. If you add a photo, the app stores the original photo and the sticker it makes from it.
All of this is stored only on your device, in Coffee Snap's own storage area. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Coffee Snap has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. Optional iCloud sync uses your own iCloud account (see below).
What Coffee Snap does not do
- It does not collect analytics, usage statistics or crash reports through third-party services.
- It does not use advertising or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
- It does not read your contacts, location, calendar or health data.
- It does not access your photo library beyond the photos you explicitly pick.
Permissions the app may ask for

You can change any of these permissions later in the iOS Settings app. Denying them does not stop you from logging coffees without photos.
Sharing
If you use Share on a recap or month card, iOS shows the standard share sheet. What happens next is up to you and the app or service you choose. Coffee Snap itself does not post or send anything.
iCloud sync (optional)
Coffee Snap can keep your journal the same on all devices signed in to your iCloud account. This is off by default and you turn it on in Settings → iCloud → Sync with iCloud. When it is on, your coffee records, stickers and original photos are stored in the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account, which only you can access. They never pass through a server run by us: we cannot read, see or recover your journal, and turning sync off keeps everything on the device. Data stored in iCloud is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Device backups
Because your journal lives on your device, it is included in your normal device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your own iOS settings. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by Coffee Snap.
Deleting your data
- In Coffee Snap, open Settings → Delete All Data to remove every coffee and photo from the app.
- Deleting the app from your device also removes all of its data on that device. If iCloud sync is on, the copy in your iCloud account can be removed in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.
There is nothing to delete on our side, because we never receive your data.
Children
Coffee Snap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The app collects no personal information from any user.
Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data that companies hold about you. Coffee Snap holds none: we have no record of who you are or what you logged. Everything is under your control on your own device and iCloud account.
Changes
If a future version of Coffee Snap starts doing something different, for example adding in-app purchases, we will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released.
